SITA can process waste to recover valuable resources from the waste stream. These services are available in Melbourne, Sydney, Cairns, Port Stephens and Gosford.

SITA owns a product destruction and dry waste sirt and transfer facility at Camellia. The facility has the capacity to cater for the following streams:
  - Off spec products (alcohol, soft drinks, clothes...)
  - Quarantine waste
  - Dry Front Lift waste streams.

The key outputs from the facility include:
  - Cardboard, Metals, Plastics and Glass for on selling
  - A variety of liquid streams for specialist disposal or further treatment
  - Process residual material for disposal

2006 was a busy year at Davis Road Transfer Station full of changes and the implementation of the new recycling plant.

2007 will bring the benefits of these changes to life. The recycling plant is in full swing and will be our focus whilst maintaining the transfer which is currently our life line to the recycling plant.
All staff are focused on recycling and are currently being trained on the new equipment to ensure our goal of increased recycling at Davis Road and help make an impact on the recycling market.

The SITA Recycling Centre is located in Gibbens Road in West Gosford. As a former materials recovery facility built for the Gosford City Council domestic waste and recycling contract, it is the ideal location for a commercial recycling facility. Our current range of products recovered from commercial industrial waste is cardboard, paper, ferrous and non ferrous metals, plastics, concrete, bricks, tiles and timber.
SITA’s focus and commitment is to service the business community in the Central Coast region with a valuable link to commercial recycling.

The new Hallam Road plant, designed to handle 4200 tonnes annually, will recover materials such a stimber, steel, plasterboard, plastic, cradboard and rubble, and will achieve 60% diverison of waste from landfill.
