13/11/2014 - SITA has been awarded the Shore Regional Organisation of Councils (SHOROC) contract for the management and disposal of household waste.

Port Stephens Council waste contract awarded to SITA

04/11/2014 - Port Stephens’ residents will see new look waste and recycling collection trucks on their streets next year with Port Stephens Council awarding a ten-year waste collection and haulage contract to SITA. Council announced the $40 million multi-year contract will commence on July 1 2015, with new opt-in services and on-call bulky waste collections being offered to residents.

Temporary changes to waste services at Ryde Resource Recovery Centre

Surplus food gets a SecondBite

05/09/2014 - People in need across Melbourne’s outer suburbs now have access to new sources of fresh produce, thanks to a financial grant by waste and recycling company SITA. With a $5,000 SITA Community Grant, and other generous donations, SecondBite has been able to expand its operations to source and redistribute 104,000 kg of high quality surplus fresh food, to 50 agencies across Carrum Downs, Kilsyth and Seaford in Melbourne’s outer metropolitan suburbs.
