Resource Recovery & Recycling

Our recycling and resource recovery solutions are based on the needs of the local council and its residents.

We own and operate over 100 sites across Australia, providing councils with a secure network of facilities to help achieve maximum environmental outcomes through resource recovery and recycling management, reducing the amount of waste that is sent to landfill.

From standard recycling services such as co-mingled (yellow-lid bin) recycling, we can also provide solutions for food and garden waste (green-lid bin) and other specific recycling streams such as paper & cardboard (blue-lid bin).

SITA’s fleet of collection vehicles have sophisticated technology systems in place to manage track and record collections, maximise operational efficiency and minimise the environmental impact of our vehicles. Across Australia, we are using alternative fuels (such as LNG and soy biodiesel) in our collection vehicles to reduce their carbon footprint.
