Auburn RRC: Traffic changes before and after V8 Supercars event

SUEZ has been advised by Destination NSW that there will be several road closures and traffic management changes in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct from late October through to late December.

Access to Auburn Resource Recovery Centre will always be available via Hill Rd and Old Hill Link. However, SUEZ recommends that customers allow extra time in case of road closures and traffic diversions in the area.

During the weeks surrounding the Coates Hire Sydney 500 V8 Supercars event, customers will be able to access the Auburn Resource Recovery Centre at all times using the Old Hill Link entrance via Hill Road. However, road closures and traffic management procedures will be in place from time to time along Edwin Flack Ave, Kevin Coombs Ave and other streets in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct.

We expect only minimal impact to SUEZ customers, as the entry point to Auburn RRC is outside the designated road closures. Local delays may occur due to high traffic (both road and pedestrian), and as such customers should allow for additional travel time.

Sydney Olympic Park Authority has the most recent update on changes to traffic conditions around Sydney Olympic Park.

V8 Supercars will have traffic management signage and traffic controllers in place during the event deconstruction period to ensure the smooth passage of vehicles.

A summary of expected changes to traffic conditions over the next two weeks is also available by clicking "Download Latest Update" below. This page will be updated as more information is received.
