Recycled Organic Products

As the leader in sustainable resource recovery, SITA believes the future of waste management is based on much greater levels of resource recovery and reuse of organic material for compost production.

SITA’s organic recycling collection service helps Australian businesses to reduce their carbon footprint whilst also reducing the amount of waste going to landfill.

When organic matter decomposes in landfill it generates methane, a potent greenhouse gas. Better that organics are use to replenish our soils and gardens via compost and mulch, than to be lost to landfills where they contribute to climate change and global warming.

Switching to separate food and garden organic collection means that food can be reused by composting it. We provide access to a range of our technologies including open windrow composting and advanced resource recovery technologies (drum composting, alley composting, biocell composting and fully enclosed tunnel composting).

Our organic solution has the flexibility to handle a great variety of inputs, and is designed to produce a range of nutrient-rich, organic composted products. We can either tailor the process to meet your existing bin and collection systems, or work with you to develop a new regime.

Our flexible processes are tailored to adapt according to state regulations and local requirements. Our proven technologies can process clean garden organics, or combined food and garden organics from commercial and industrial food and garden organics.
