What happens after we've collected your General Waste?

General waste received from kerbside or business premise collections, and from deliveries by householders and small businesses at a SUEZ resource recovery centre, is either processed at one of our Advanced Resource Recovery Technology (ARRT) facilities, which provides high percentage outcomes for resource recovery, or after undergoing some form of resource recovery process, waste that cannot be returned into the circular economy is treated and disposed of under acceptable environmental conditions.  This may include disposal at one of SUEZ's engineered landfills. In 2015 SUEZ generated enough electricity to power over 47,000 Australian homes and business and diveresed up to 55% of General waste from landfill. Found out more about our recycling solutions here.
